David Schulte is a regional Emmy and Telly award-winning Creative Director and Director with over two decades of experience in short-form educational, documentary, and branded content. He currently serves as Creative Director at Spotzen, a production company based in Austin, TX.
David has directed and produced projects for major clients including PBS, Delta Air Lines, Amazon, IBM, Nickelodeon, Dell, Adobe, and SXSW. He frequently works across all stages of production, including shooting, editing, writing, and motion graphics.
His work includes key contributions to several PBS Digital Studios series such as Be Smart, Overview, Monstrum, and Fate & Fabled. His documentary short The Curse and the Symphony received national recognition for its creative approach to storytelling.
David’s work often focuses on culture, science, and human interest, with an emphasis on strong visual storytelling and clear narrative structure. He has filmed across the U.S. and internationally, producing stories that highlight community, craft, and everyday experiences.
